Engineering.
There are many good engineers and engineering firms out there to choose from…..what sets Civil Engineers & Constructors, LLC (CEC) apart from the pack and why should you consider us for your next project?
Simply put……the years of experience of our staff in actually building projects leads to a superior work product for you as an Owner… In fact, the staff of CEC have built as many million dollars of projects in our respective careers as we have designed for others to build! You cannot achieve this type of experience in school or sitting in an office simply designing work which others build. And this experience not only sets us apart from the average consulting firm, it gives us a significant advantage over our peers in producing successful outcomes that are constructed within budget and on time. When you hire CEC, you are also hiring the many years of experience of a successful contractor to continuously value engineer your project. No other engineering firm in the tri state area can claim this level of experience. Typically engineering fees run a percentage of construction. CEC cannot always claim to being the cheapest, but we can claim providing the most value to you as an Owner. Consider a typical $1,000,000 project. Design fees can be expected to run on the order of 10%, or $100,000 for a total project cost of $1,100,000.
What if, because of the expertise of your engineer in value engineering, structuring the contract favorably to you as an Owner, construction means and methods, etc, you could reduce construction costs by 15%, or $150,000? What additional fee would you be willing to pay your design professional to accomplish this? Would you be willing to pay 20% more in design fees ($20,000) to save $150,000 (net savings to you as an Owner of $130,000)? This seems like too simple of an example, but CEC has demonstrated time and time again that our staff have the real world experience to accomplish this on a variety of project types. Whether you are fixing leaking storage ponds, replacing large sewage lift stations, constructing stormwater or grading improvements or bike trails, or fast-tracking a repair of critical infrastructure along the Missouri River in the dead of winter, CEC has and will continue to provide superior value and service to its clients.
